The Edit Room Type page allows you to configure and manage individual room types within your property.

This page enables you to set up room type details, establish rate calculations, and manage pricing relationships between different room types.

Room Type Name

Text field for entering the name of the room type (currently showing "Einzel"). This is the primary identifier for this room type that will be displayed throughout the system.

Enabled

Yes/No to activate or deactivate this room type. When set to "No", the room type will not be available for updating or usage in the system.

Min Rate Allowed

Use this field to set the minimum allowable rate for this room type. This prevents rates from being set below this threshold, as the system will not process rates issued equal to or below this number.

Parent Room Type Mapping

If you want to have a parent-child relationship with another room type, where potentially rate, availability, and restrictions issued for the parent room type flow to the child room type, make that parent room type selection here.

Parent Room Type Linked Rates

If a room type is selected as a parent room type, when this is set to 'Yes', rates issued for the parent room type will flow to this room type.

When set to 'No', rates issued for the parent room type will not flow to this room type, and rates for this room type can be managed directly by the PMS or the user.

Parent Room Type Linked Availability

If a room type is selected as a parent room type, when this is set to 'Yes', availability (Allocation and Stop Sell) issued for the parent room type will flow to this room type.

When set to 'No', availability updates issued for the parent room type will not flow to this room type, and availability for this room type can be managed directly by the PMS or the user.

Parent Room Type Linked Restrictions

If a room type is selected as a parent room type, when this is set to 'Yes', restrictions (things like Min Nights, CTA, CTD, etc) issued for the parent room type will flow to this room type.

When set to 'No', restriction updates issued for the parent room type will not flow to this room type, and restrictions for this room type can be managed directly by the PMS or the user.

Rate calculations let you mark up or mark down a rate based on flat fees or percentages.

If the Rate Calculation was +10 Flat Fee, if you entered $150 globally, it would be adjusted to $160 for this room type.

If the Rate Calculation was -10 Percentage, if you entered $100 globally, it would be adjusted to $90 (-10%) for this room type.

Rate Calculations 1 / 2 / 3 / 4

For more complex calculations, you could have more than one, and they are processed in order.

At times, a calculation might include something like 'markdown 15%', then add a resort fee of '+25 Flat Fee'.

For this, a global rate of $100 would turn into $85 (-15%), plus $25 = $110

Rate Calculations Overrides Per Date Range

You can control markups and markdowns for specific date ranges. If you only wanted the rate calculations to take place for July 1 - July 28, you could configure this here.

Occupancy Rates

This only shows up if occupancy rates are enabled at the property level. Then one can set rate calculations per occupancy.
